What is jerk pork?

Jerk pork is a signature Jamaican dish featuring pork (commonly shoulder or belly) marinated in a fiery, aromatic blend of spices - primarily Scotch bonnet peppers, pimento, thyme, garlic, and ginger - then slow-smoked or grilled. It offers a complex flavour profile that is savoury, spicy, and smoky.
Is Jojo’s Jerk Pork fully cooked?

Yes, Jojo’s Jerk Pork is a fully cooked product. We marinate our jerk pork for days and smoke it for hours. It’s then frozen at its peak, locking in that oh so smoky flavour.
How do I prepare it and what do I serve it with?

Jojo’s Jerk Pork is a frozen fresh, vacuum sealed product. Thaw it to room temperature and then you can either microwave it or pop it in the oven on low broil of 8 minutes. The oven is our preferred method to really accentuate the char, but it tastes amazing both ways! Air frying is also an option for 5 minutes once the product is thawed. Once it’s ready, the traditional way to serve it is thinly sliced.
Jojo’s Jerk Pork pairs well with with rice & peas, coleslaw, festival, Hard-o bread, French fries. It’s also great on its own! And if you want to level up the spice with some hot sauce, we won’t ding you for it. We’re all for turning up the heat!

Currently we’re available for pick-up in Ajax, ON or in Etobicoke, ON. For a minimum order of $100, we can arrange next day delivery anywhere in the GTA.
